http://www.PhilinVancouver.com http://www.PhilinBangkok.com Where to Eat in Bangkok Bishamon Sapporo Ramen Japanese Restaurant great Sushi and the BEST Tonkatsu. Dont forget to click the Like button and Subscribe to my Channel with over 450 Videos! Over the past several years, Japanese cuisine has been taking Bangkok by storm. While delicate sashimi maintains its popularity in the Big Mango, you'll also hear yakiniku barbecue sizzling on almost every corner of the city, while the bubbling shabu shabu and sukiyaki hot pots add even more variety to the tropical gastronomic scene.

A joint venture between the Sihanatkathakul family (of the Landmark Bangkok) and Uomasa, a well-respected sushi and sashimi eatery in Soi Thong Lor, Bishamon is a new restaurant that offers an alternative to the typically space-limited ramen joints. Located right on the side of the main Sukhumvit Road, the place is spacious. Its menu is extensive and its crowd is a mix of locals and expats of all ages.

Bishamon offers an impressive variety of ramen from three different regions: Sapporo, Tokyo and Kyushu. And in each regional category, there are several choices, whether different types of soup, levels of spiciness or portion sizes.

http://www.PhilinVancouver.com http://www.PhilinBangkok.com Where to Eat Cheap for a $1 - $2 in Bangkok I go to Pier 21 Food Court on the 5th Floor Terminal 21 Mall beside Asoke BTS Skytrain Station. A wide variety of Thai dishes are available. You need to buy a card with credit to buy food at the stands. When you are finished you can refund the money that is still left on the card. The food is cheap and if you are lucky you get a seat at one of the windows from where you can enjoy a stunning view over the Asok business area. This is one of my favorite food courts in an Unique Mall which will make you feel like traveling. Don't forget to click the Like button and Subscribe to my Channel with over 450 Videos

Where to eat in Bangkok Fat Gut'z Saloon Best Fish & Chips in Asia, 2 fo...

http://www.PhilinVancouver.com http://www.PhilinBangkok.com Where to eat in Bangkok Fat Gut'z Saloon Thonglor "Best Fish & Chips in Asia" is there slogan on the back of the servers shirts and after devouring the Platter for 2 (420bht $14.00) that slogan is 100% Correct! The fillet of Fish was tender, moist with crispy batter sorry I forgot to ask what kind it was, there was 3 big fillets on top a huge mound of great fries with 2 battered Prawns, 2 Pickles Onions (Grandma's recipe) and real Tartar sauce. We were hungry and polished it off pretty quick but 3 people could easily share it, highly recommended. There 2 for 1 Beers are Tiger and Heineken draft till 9pm but check their special boards as they add bottles and wine as well. Fat Gut'z is about hanging out, drinking and enjoying a decidedly non-Bangkok ambience. Opened by Australian Ashley Sutton, Fat Gut'z also has low lighting, dark woods, appealing decor and a cozy atmosphere like Sutton's first effort Iron Fairies, which has been a big hit, cool place to take out of town guests.

The similarities don't end there. At Fat Gut'z, the bar too is more prominent than the kitchen, the music is stellar and the drink menu is many more pages than the menu. Sutton hired New York based mixologist Joseph Boroski to design 16 New York-style cocktails, which are just as unique as the venue. Among the more intriguing is Junyo Maru, a drink made up of Irish whiskey, crushed cucumber, honey melon lime and maple. But our favorite has to be the Lancastria, solely because it includes candy floss in addition to your usual vodka, Sauvignon Blanc, lychee and lemon. And just as Iron Fairies brought beauties to a blacksmith shop, you're unlikely to find any fish and chips shop in the world attracting a collection of such good-looking people.

http://www.PhilinVancouver.com http://www.PhilinBangkok.com Bavaria Holland's Premium Beer with different kinds from 10% Alcohol & Non Alcohol and Fruit Beer, All were Delicious & Smooth. Bavaria is the second largest brewery in the Netherlands. The company, which produces five hundred million litres of beer annually, is based in the town of Lieshout, North Brabant. Founded in 1719 by Laurentius Moorees, it is currently owned by the Swinkels family. The brewery produces a range of standard and low alcohol pale lagers under a variety of brand names including Bavaria and Hollandia. The best-known global product is Bavaria Premium Pils lager. The brewery also makes a popular alcohol-free beer, Bavaria 0.0%; malts are also available in apple, caramel, lemon and karkadé flavours. It is also contracted to make a number of European supermarket own-brand Dutch lagers, including Albert Heijn Pilsener.
Bavaria makes two special beers called Bavaria 8.6 and Bavaria 8.6 Red. Other special beers include the La Trappe and the Moreeke, a tribute to one of Bavaria's founding fathers, Laurentius Morees. Previously in Australia, the Liquorland chain of bottle shops distributed both Bavaria and Hollandia brands as 'premium' imported Dutch beers, before switching over to Hollandia exclusively. Bavaria is now found throughout Australia in independent bottle shops. Bavaria Crown is sold in Ireland. Since the early 1990s, Bavaria has exported premium beer to several countries in the former Soviet Union.

Roasted Duck in Bangkok – Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา)
Bangrak is one of the street food sanctuaries of Bangkok – meaning there are plenty of wonderful restaurants in the area.
Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา) is long standing Thai, with a Chinese influence to it, restaurant that specializes in duck.
They do roasted duck to be more exact, not boiled duck.
And their wooden trophy cabinet in front of the shop shows that they do duck well.

Khao Na Bpet (ข้าวหน้าเป็ด) – Roasted Duck Over Rice
So naturally it was my duty as an eater to first begin with a plate of khao na bpet (ข้าวหน้าเป็ด), slices of roast duck over a bed of steamed rice.
The duck was drizzled a sauce made from its juices that dripped down to permeate the rice and made it a complete delicious dish. While khao na bpet is not my absolute favorite $1 menu dish to eat in Thailand, this was certainly pretty flavorful!

Khao Moo Daeng (ข้าวหมูแดง) – Barbecued Pork Over Rice
Many duck restaurants in Bangkok also serve khao moo daeng (ข้าวหมูแดง), the signature red barbecued pork over rice.
While normally moo daeng is seriously red and very sweet, this wasn’t as sweet as others and included a pleasant smoky flavor to it.
Another bonus was that I got nearly all lean meat, none of the grizzly fat – could have just been my particular plate, but that’s how I prefer it. Still, it couldn’t compare to Bangkok’s best khao moo daeng.

Ba Mee Egg Noodles and Rosted Duck (บะหมี่เป็ด)
The bowl of ba mee egg noodles and duck (บะหมี่เป็ด) was particularly well done.
While sometimes on the streets ba mee can be a little rubbery, these noodles were fresh and supple, complementing the roast duck nicely.
7830259096 9630514d09 o Roasted Duck in Bangrak at Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา)
A lump of delicious noodles!
The noodles weren’t sticky at all, but were perfectly cooked and after adding a few generous spoons of chili flakes and vinegar, they were ready for consumption.

Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา)

The Bottom Line

The roasted duck was better than average, very good if that’s what you’re in the mood for. The moo daeng barbecued pork was alright, and I thought the ba mee egg noodles were great.
It’s also worth a mention that Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา) serves a full menu of stir fry dishes as well, though I haven’t tried any of them.

Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา)

Address: Bangrak, Charoen Wiang, Bangkok, Thailand

Phone Number: 0-2235-1088

Hours: Daily from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Prices: Most dishes run 40 – 50 THB

How to Get There

Located in the heart of Bangrak and just across the street from Robinson shopping mall, Charoen Wiang Pochana (เจริญเวียงโภชนา) is easy to get to and in a great location.
The easiest way to get there is to go to Saphan Taksin BTS station (where you can also drop by for some boat noodles), exit and walk towards Robinson, turn on Charoen Wiang road, and you’ll find the restaurant on the right hand side about 20 meters down the road – can’t miss it!

What to Drink in Bangkok Mekhong Whiskey Thai Sabai Cocktail @ Food & Ho...

http://www.SaveMoneyManageMoneyMakeMoney.com http://www.MadeinThailand.tv http://www.PhilinVancouver.com http://www.PhilinBangkok.com What to Drink in Bangkok I try Mekhong Whiskey in a Thai Sabai Cocktail @ Food & Hotel Thailand 2012 Trade Show in Bitec by Bangna BTS. Mekhong is Thailand's first domestically produced branded golden spirit. Launched in 1941, it quickly became the most popular brand in Thailand. This was helped by a dispute with the French concerning the border with Laos along the Mekong River which gives the brand its name.
It was first created by James Honzatko while living on the banks of the Mekong river. Honzatko was an avid brewer and eventually began producing his favourite whisky on a large scale. After Honzatko's death, his close friend Peter Sawer took over the brewing of Mekong and was ultimately responsible for its mass production.
Despite being known as a whisky, Mekhong is in fact much closer to a rum. The distilled spirit is made from 95% sugar cane/molasses and 5% rice. This distilled spirit is then blended with a secret recipe of indigenous herbs and spices to produce its distinctive aroma and taste.
Mekhong is distilled, blended and bottled at the Bangyikhan Distillery on the outskirts of Bangkok. Its slightly lower strength of 35% abv means that it mixes well including as an ingredient in cocktails, the most famous of which being the 'Sabai Sabai', known as the Thai Welcome Drink.
Mekhong is widely available across South East Asia and is also now available in the UK, Europe and the USA.
Mekhong Whisky is mentioned several times on the album Hell's Ditch by The Pogues, along with other common Thai drinks.
It appears that the Company was bought out by Sangsom in around 2010 and ceased production. It was almost impossible to buy a bottle in early 2011. However it is now back in production with a new English Language label. In mid 2011 it was for sale at Duty Free Bangkok.
