Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone @ Thailand Mobile Expo 2012 Queen Sirikit ...
Nokia Lumia 800 (codenamed 'Sea Ray') is a Windows Phone OS powered smartphone, first unveiled by the company's CEO Stephen Elop, on 26 October 2011 at the Nokia World 2011 event. It is Nokia's first mobile phone to run Windows Phone OS as a part of the first wave of Windows Phone devices to be released by the company as it shifts focus from the Symbian and MeeGo platforms for premium priced phones. The design of the body is based on Nokia N9 that is made from polycarbonate plastic but with a physical camera button on the right side of the phone and the dual LED flash moved directly above the Carl Zeiss camera lens, as well as having a smaller 3.7" display to accommodate the capacative softkeys. The phone was launched in the UK on November 16, 2011.
The Nokia Lumia 800 won "Editor's Choice" award of 2011 What Mobile magazine. Their review rated it 5/5, and said "The Lumia 800 is a massive step forward for Nokia and sits apart in an increasingly crowded market. Alongside Windows Phone Mango, there's enough inside the Lumia 800 to worry rivals and make iPhone fans jealous"
Brian Klug of AnandTech in his review wrote, "The Lumia 800 is indubitably the best Windows Phone hardware out there right now" , with notable features such as "camera without compromises, hardware build quality that's unique and solid, Nokia's attention to detail..." Regarding the shortcomings, Klug wrote, "lack of USB or external storage, a still fledgling application ecosystem, and a few others." Regarding the Camera, Brian Klug said, "Lumia 800's camera comes out looking very good against the rest of the 8MP competition, and for me this is the first F/2.2 8 MP shooter I've come across. With less compression and better ISP, it could be even better than most."
In the Engadget review, Sharif Sakr wrote, "Nokia's Lumia 800 is a sophisticated and capable smartphone that melds its hardware beautifully with the Windows Phone OS." Sherif Sakr writes that while the phone lacked features like USB mass storage, expandable storage, the phone is a welcome for those who want to be "part of a carefully crafted, simple and generally happy emerging ecosystem."
PC World said that the Nokia Lumia 800 has solid guts and shiny looks, and was an "interesting proposal", though they also said it had "nothing extraordinary to offer" when compared to the highest end models the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Droid RAZR or the more expensive iPhone 4s in hardware and software.
Cnet UK noted that the phone was 'overall, the Lumia 800 is a very good handset. The Windows Phone software is slick and fun to use, especially if you like to keep up-to-date with what friends are up to on social networking sites. It also looks attractive and the excellent build quality gives you the confidence that it's built to last."
CNET UK made a camera comparison with the current high-end phones iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S II and wrote that Lumia 800 "didn't offer the quality of camera we were hoping for."
Regarding the Camera, GSM Arena wrote that, "We were quite impressed by the job done by the 8 megapixel sensor and the bright F/2.2 lens. Images might not be the sharpest around and the noise levels are only average, but their colors and contrast are great, despite the sub-optimal lighting. Cameraphone lovers should definitely check this one out."
Ketaki Bhojnagarwala in The Hindu review wrote, "The Lumia 800 isn't perfect, but its one of the best products that Nokia has released in the market in recent months. I have no complaints about the hardware - Nokia gets it right every time. Windows Mango is a refreshing and vibrant operating system that's already got a big fan list,..."

Cool Dexter T- Shirt and only $10 I Want One!
Teefury: Limited Edition $10 tees!
Art curated by
jimiyo jimiyo
Tell us a bit about this design.
It's based on a Norman Rockwell painting - I always enjoyed how Dexter was sort of an aesthete when it came to his bloody business, and every crime scene was kind of like going to an art show for him. There's also the fact that Norman Rockwell's work is basically the antithesis of Dexter Morgan and I thought it made for an interesting design.
Where are you from?
I'm currently roaming about in Portland, OR via upstate New York.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I'm super tough and devilishly handsome. I have many valuable skills. If the apocalypse happens, you definitely want me as a high-ranking member of your new society. I can fly and read minds. I am the best.

Bagan Myanmar Burma Thousands of Temples Pagodas Monuments in a 41sq km ...
The ruins of Bagan cover an area of 16 square miles (41 km2). The majority of its buildings were built in the 11th century to 13th century, during the time Bagan was the capital of the First Burmese Empire. It was not until King Pyinbya moved the capital to Bagan in AD 874 that it became a major city. However, in Burmese tradition, the capital shifted with each reign, and thus Bagan was once again abandoned until the reign of Anawrahta. In 1057, King Anawrahta conquered the Mon capital of Thaton, and brought back the Tripitaka Pali scriptures, Buddhist monks and craftsmen and all of these were made good use of in order to transform Bagan into a religious and cultural centre. With the help of a monk from Lower Burma, Anawrahta made Theravada Buddhism a kind of state religion, and the king also established contacts with Sri Lanka. In the 12th and 13th centuries, Bagan became a truly cosmopolitan centre of Buddhist studies, attracting monks and students from as far as India, Sri Lanka as well as the Thai and Khmer kingdoms. Among many other works, Aggavaṃsa's influential Saddanīti, a grammar of the language of the Tipiṭaka, would be completed there in 1154. In 1287, the kingdom fell to the Mongols, after refusing to pay tribute to Kublai Khan. Abandoned by the Burmese king and perhaps sacked by the Mongols, the city declined as a political centre, but continued to flourish as a place of Buddhist scholarship.
After the earthquake in 1975, there are only 2,217 pagodas left in Bagan, in contrast to more than 5,000 during height of the political centre. Thus in order to preserve the original pagodas, only horse-driven carriage are allowed to travel among the pagodas.
Although an application was submitted, UNESCO does not designate Bagan as a World Heritage Site. The main reason given is that the military junta (SPDC) has haphazardly restored ancient stupas, temples and buildings, ignoring original architectural styles and using modern materials which bear little or no resemblance to the original designs. The junta has also established a golf course, a paved highway, and built a 200-foot (61 meter) watchtower in the southeastern suburb of Minnanthu.

How to Get a Free Meal and Learn Mobile Phone Etiquette
I usually take a very hard line against mobile phone devices while dining out, but this new unique technique just jumps out and gives people inspiration for the future.
I call it a Mobile Stack, and it’s a blunt reminder of every phone-etiquette concept the world seems to have overlooked.
It starts like this as you sit down, tell each person to place their Mobile facedown in the center of the table. As the meal goes on, you are going to notice various text messages, status updates and email messages arriving… and you are going to do absolutely zip. You’ll cope with temptation—maybe even a few unconscious reaches to toward the center of the table—but you are going to be limited by the single, all-important concept of the Mobile Stack.
Whoever grabs their Mobile first gets to treat the others to the meal.
It’s a amazing experiment of social etiquette pressure, disguised as a game. It places your Mobile out of the pocket—where you can take a peek and hope nobody notices—and puts it in the center of focus at all times. Now grabbing your mobile is the big deal you always privately realized it was. And furthermore, it comes with repercussions.
But if, after the third buzz or rings, you decide your contact is more essential than footing the tab, we’re sure your buddies won't stop you.
